Good teaching makes
difficult things
feel possible.
I don't just want students to get the answer. I want them to understand why the answer works. This is a map of the subjects, lessons, questions and ideas I use to help students think more clearly.
Three subjects. One way of thinking.
Each subject is built from topics, and each topic from lessons that build on exactly what came before.
MATHEMATICS / FUNCTIONS · LESSON 003
Quadratic Functions and Their Graphs
Current objective: understand how the graph changes shape and position as the coefficients of the equation change.
LESSON 012 · PROBLEM SOLVING / PROOF · ADVANCED · 30 MIN
Proof by Contradiction
Assume the opposite of what you want to prove, and show it leads somewhere impossible. Prerequisite: Truth Tables and Logical Connectives.
Where should I go next?
Choose a subject and follow a structured sequence — foundation, practice, application, mastery — built from what you've already completed.
The answer matters. The thinking behind it matters more.
I believe students learn best when they are allowed to understand, question, attempt, fail, correct and try again. A method that isn't understood is fragile — understanding it makes memorisation almost unnecessary.
